He was also heavily involved in last year's centenary
arrangements of the Kilcoole gun running on August 2, 1914.

Bob returned to Korea to remember the 60th anniversary of
the Armistice and he received an award from the South Korean
government for his service to their Country.

He also held a service for Anzac Day and the Australians
awarded him for that as well. Anzac Day is a national day of
remembrance in Australia which commemorates all those who
served and died in wars. The day was originally devised to
honour the members of the Australian and New Zealand Army
Corps (ANZAC) who fought at Gallipoli against the Ottoman
          Empire during World War I.

More recently he was invited to take part in the Wicklow town
St Patrick's Day parade by the Post 21 Irish United Nations
Veterans Association (IUNVA). The post is the Wicklow branch
of the association and re-opened in June 2012. They provide
counselling, welfare and social services to members and their
          families in the county.
